Genji Sushi

I have been a couch potato lately so been slacking off on my blogging. Yes sadly I chose tv over my very own blog.

There are so many shows to watch I just can't keep up so going to keep it short so I can return to my box.

I went to Genji Sushi for dinner one night. It's a small restaurant located in North York hidden along Steeles Ave. West.

I really enjoy their crab salad and bimbimbap. The crab salad is light and refreshing. Great way to start of the meal. Next the bimbimbap, a common dish found in Korean cuisine. If you don't know what it is it's basically warm white rice topped with sauteed and seasoned vegetables, some sort of meat normally beef, a raw or fried egg and chili pepper paste served in an extremely hot stone bowl. It's really delicious and very filling.

The remaining dishes were spicy tuna crunch roll, spider roll and some sashimi. Nothing spectacular considering it was a sushi place but not that bad either. Think the only thing I would recommend from these dishes would be the hamachi. It was really fresh and the buttery texture made it felt like it melted in your mouth.

Overall so far I would return for the crab salad, bimbimbap and hamachi sashimi. As for the sushi let me try out other rolls before I completely rule it out.
