Choice of soup or salad and a sandwich for $9.49 at Artisano Bakery Cafe.
I've said before that there's not too many places around my workplace to eat at so I decided to give this cafe a try.
Since my friend hadn't arrive yet I decided to do the ordering for him. I ordered 2 of the specials.
Here was the avocado and walnut salad. It came with baby spinach, arugula, bacon, gorgonzola, grape tomatoes, red onions and honey Dijon dressing. I picked this for my friend and think he said it was yummy.
For his sandwich I chose the Southern pulled pork on calabrese bun smothered with Artisano BBQ sauce topped with freshly made coleslaw. While I was waiting I couldn't resist picking at this sandwich. The pork was tender and saucy good. If I wasn't so nice I would've just ate this sandwich instead but I opted for something else that day.
For my salad I had the beet, walnut and goat cheese salad. It consisted of baby spinach, arugula, beets, walnuts, goat cheese, red onions drizzled with balsamic dressing. I really enjoyed this salad. The sweetness of the red beets and the tartness of the goat cheese paired perfectly well in this invigorating salad with a bit of crunchy walnuts for texture. I would definitely order this salad again.
For my sandwich I had the turkey breast with brie, arugula, sliced green apple topped with dried cranberry mayo. It was scrumptious. The reason why I chose this for myself was I wanted something healthier since I've been eating too much junk lately. Then again I did pick at the pork sandwich a bit. Well enough so my friend wouldn't notice hehe.
Now another place to add to my list of places to eat around work. They even have desserts too but since I had to return to work I didn't have time to grab some sweets. Hopefully next time I will have more time.

Artisano Bakery Cafe on Islington offers more than just freshly baked breads. I stopped in with a friend this week after hearing him rave.
Coincidence, I was just at Artisano Bakery Cafe today! One of the friends I was with had the exact same thing you ordered; she wanted the soup, but it was too early I guess? (Still breakfast hours). Great serving size, and she liked it a lot. I had the scrambled eggs in a pocket, very tastey :) My other friend had their danish, also very good and so fresh!
Wow, both the salads and sandwiches sound sooo good! I really want to try it! Not to mention how tasty salads are with nuts in them! Yummm.

Artisano's menu seems a bit more expansive with pizza and pasta choices. I stuck with a sandwich and got the pulled pork.
i never tried their pizzas or pastas...i only stick wit their sandwiches and salads since i enjoy it so much maybe i shud change it up and try something new
I do not take fast foods because they are tasty but has many bad effects on our health.

Artisano is a favourite local place for us. They have soups, salads, pasta and well as bread and baked goods.
