One Sunday morning my friend Jane took me to one of her fave brunch spots.
Vi Vetha was definitely a hidden gem. I never heard of this place before but by the end of the meal it was definitely on my list of faves as well.
It's a small little restaurant along Yonge just a block North of Lawrence.
I had my eye on the french toast and egg benny and a few other stuff. I just couldn't decide. I wanted it all. Finally we settled on two dishes.
Here was the potato pancake platter with smoked salmon, 2 eggs garnished with apple, sour cream and capers. It was yummy.
Look at that piece of smoked salmon. They are definitely generous with their portions here.
Here was the brunch combo platter which consisted of blueberry pancake, slice of french toast, caramelized peach, two eggs, bacon and sausage. Once again the portions were HUGE. The pancake was fluffy.

What is your favorite meal? Brunch or Dinner?
Vi Vetha is also located on Queen Street East (Beach) close to the water filtration plant and also another 2 locations on Kingston Rd in Scarborough. Try their Angry Chicken for dinner. It's amazing. Another great dish is their mussels, scallops, shrimp, and wonderful vegetables in a very light coconut sauce, served with rice. It's a huge portion and very affordable.
Wow, pancakes + egg.... looks and sound delish =P
Vetha is a pub I saw the family on the eastern edge of the beach. The menu includes sandwiches of veal and mushrooms.

Food looks so scrumptious! I'll definitely have to give it a go when I'm in the area...wait, that's probably when I'm with you *hint*hint*wink*wink*nudge*nudge LOL
