Le Cafe Michi

From the outside it kinda looked sketchy. I wasn't sure if I was at the right restaurant but the sign read Le Cafe Michi so in I went.

It was a small and narrow restaurant with about maybe 10 tables or so. Me and my girlfriend ended up sitting across from the sushi bar since it was empty there. We talk loud or actually I talk loud so it was nice to have the whole room to ourself.

We both had our eyes on the unatama dinner special which was barbecued eel, green onions and simmered egg on rice. The special also came with miso soup, salad and get this, CAKE. First time seeing a combo that came with cake rather than ice cream. Yayyy! This was insanely delicious. It sucked that I had to share otherwise I would have finished the whole plate on my own.

Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches

Yes. I said MACARON ICE CREAM SANDWICHES!!!

Like that isn't good enough already, we got it for freeeeeeee^_^

Lady Marmalade

Another busy brunch spot in Leslieville.

We arrived at Lady Marmalade around noon only to find that there was a lineup outside the door. Note they will not seat you until your entire party is there. We found out the hard way.

Nevertheless, the restaurant is quite cozy and very green. Think majority of the restaurants in the area are small and tiny hence the long lineup.

Phoenix aka Golden Phoenix

I like this place so much I went here 3 times in a row.

Phoenix is a cha chaan teng where they serve Hong Kong style cafe kind of food. Now to those who can't read Chinese we know it as Phoenix but to those who can read it's actually called Golden Phoenix. Whatever the name is, they serve really good food and very generous portions.

This post will be displaying all the food I had during each of my trip.

Before I begin, the one thing that is a MUST HAVE is the HK coffee tea drink. I ordered it every single time that I came. It was the best one I've had so far. Soooo refreshing and so good. I want one NOW!!!

Dinner #1.

Once we entered the restaurant my boyfriend was eying a bowl of noodles at a table next to us. He didn't even ask what it was. He just said I want to eat what that person is eating.

Here was the noodles he got. It was some sort of curry noodle soup with chunks of beef. I didn't taste this but my boyfriend slurped down the whole bowl. He sure enjoyed it.

Fire on the East Side

Fire on the East Side. Nothing to say except bland, bland, blaaaaand!

The service was great but wish I could say the same about the meal.

Chippy's

I wanted to try the fish & chips from Chippy's for a while but sadly it just wasn't good at all.

Poutini's

Since I missed Poutini's anniversary where they had their 2 for 1 special, I was determined to make a trip there regardless. Finally got my poutine fix.

With only 6 poutines to choose from my eyes instantly fell on the pulled pork poutine.
